Add your files to Merge PDFs and move pages into the order you want using the arrows. The output follows the list from top to bottom. You can also add a single PDF to rearrange its pages.
Merge your PDFs
- Open Merge PDFs.
- Choose one or more PDFs. Pages from files added later appear at the end.
- Check the filename, original page number and output position in each row.
- Move pages with the up and down arrows. Select × to remove a page from the output.
- Select Merge PDFs and download the result.
You can move individual pages between those from other PDFs, rather than simply swapping whole files. The list identifies pages by filename and source page number; it does not show page-content thumbnails.
Example page order
Suppose your first file has two pages and your second file has one. Move the second file's page up once to put it between the first file's pages:
| Output position | Source |
|---|---|
| 1 | First file · Page 1 |
| 2 | Second file · Page 1 |
| 3 | First file · Page 2 |
The source page number stays the same; the output position changes. Open the download in a PDF reader to check the page order and content.
Supported files and limits
Encrypted or damaged PDFs cannot be opened. Limits are 40 MB per file, 120 MB total, 30 files and 150 pages. An error explains rejected files; previously accepted files remain in the list.
The tool creates a new PDF by copying pages. It preserves their individual sizes rather than converting every page to one standard size. An A4 page and a differently sized page retain their own dimensions.
What may not be preserved?
Form fields, bookmarks and digital signatures are not preserved. Flatten fillable forms in a suitable PDF application first. Do not treat the merged file as equivalent to a signed original; keep your originals.
The tool does not edit PDF text, perform OCR or aim to reduce file size. The output size can differ from the sum of the inputs. See the pdf-lib documentation for the page-copying approach.
I removed the wrong page. How do I restore it? Add the source PDF again. This adds all of its pages; there is no separate undo button.
